TelanganaRising delegation’s US trip cancelled after MEA reportedly denies political clearance; CM to return from London on August 23
Hyderabad (Economy India): Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has been denied permission by the Centre to visit the United States, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said on Friday.
Reddy, who is currently in London, had planned to travel to the US as part of the official TelanganaRising delegation and was scheduled to return to Hyderabad on August 30.
According to a statement issued by the CMO, the proposed US visit has now been cancelled after the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) denied the required clearance.

US Visit Cancelled
The CMO said the TelanganaRising delegation led by Revanth Reddy was forced to cancel its proposed visit to the United States after the MEA reportedly denied permission, citing the absence of clearance “from political angle”.
As a result, the Chief Minister will return from London to Hyderabad on August 23, instead of travelling onward to Boston.
TelanganaRising Delegation
The proposed visit was part of the Telangana government’s efforts to showcase the state and engage with international investors and business communities.
The TelanganaRising initiative has been aimed at promoting Telangana as an investment destination and highlighting opportunities across sectors.
The cancellation of the US leg means the delegation will not proceed with its planned engagements in America.

CM to Return to Hyderabad
According to the CMO, Revanth Reddy will cut short his overseas schedule and return to Hyderabad on August 23.
The development comes amid political debate over the Centre’s decision to deny clearance for the Chief Minister’s proposed US visit.
The Telangana government has not indicated any further details regarding the reasons behind the MEA’s decision beyond the explanation cited in the CMO statement.
