Company Focuses on Renewable Energy and Power Transmission

Karamtara Engineering manufactures products used in renewable energy and transmission infrastructure.

Its product portfolio includes solar module mounting structures, solar tracker piles and piers, solar torque tubes, lattice towers, fasteners and overhead transmission-line hardware, fittings and accessories.

The company has also entered the wind-energy segment by starting production of angular and tubular towers for wind turbines.

Expansion into Battery Storage and New Businesses

Karamtara is also looking to expand its business beyond its existing product portfolio.

The company has plans to enter the battery energy storage systems (BESS) segment through its wholly owned subsidiary, Karamtara Green Energy. It also plans to establish manufacturing facilities for prefabricated engineered building structures.

Strong Financial Performance

The company has reported significant growth in recent years.

According to available IPO information, Karamtara Engineering’s profit increased 64.2 per cent to Rs 228.8 crore in FY26, while revenue rose 36.5 per cent to Rs 4,312 crore from the previous year.

The company’s growth prospects are linked to increasing demand from renewable energy, transmission infrastructure and other industrial sectors.

Busy IPO Market on September 9

Karamtara Engineering’s IPO is launching amid an exceptionally busy primary-market session.

Several companies are scheduled to open IPOs on September 9, with the day’s offerings collectively seeking billions of rupees from investors. Reuters reported that six IPOs are scheduled to open that day, reflecting the renewed momentum in India’s primary market.

This creates both opportunities and competition for investor capital as multiple companies seek funds simultaneously.

Institutional Interest Sets the Stage for Public Issue

The Rs 262.50-crore anchor investment gives Karamtara Engineering an important institutional base ahead of the public subscription period.

With the IPO opening on September 9, investors will now watch subscription levels across qualified institutional buyers, non-institutional investors and retail investors.

The company is seeking to leverage the IPO to support its growth plans as demand rises across renewable energy and power-transmission infrastructure.
