Four-District Review Meeting Under Sushasan Tihar 2026 Focuses on Housing, Agriculture, Health and Public Service Delivery

RAIPUR (Economy India): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday emphasized the need for timely and sensitive resolution of public grievances while reviewing the implementation of welfare schemes and development projects across four districts of the Bastar region under the state’s ongoing Sushasan Tihar 2026 initiative.

Addressing a high-level review meeting held at the District Panchayat Auditorium in Kanker, the Chief Minister said the primary objective of the government’s grievance redressal camps is to ensure that citizens receive prompt solutions to their concerns and that the benefits of government schemes reach every eligible beneficiary.

“The spirit of good governance must be visible on the ground through positive administrative action and meaningful public service,” Sai said while directing officials to adopt a result-oriented and accountable approach in implementing government programs.

Senior officials were instructed to ensure timely execution of schemes, improve service delivery mechanisms, and maintain regular monitoring of ongoing projects.

Focus on Housing and Agriculture

The Chief Minister directed officials to expedite the completion of houses sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) to ensure that beneficiaries receive permanent housing at the earliest.

He also stressed accelerating paddy transportation from procurement centres and promoting local rice milling by encouraging young entrepreneurs to participate in the sector.

With the upcoming kharif season approaching, Sai instructed departments to ensure adequate availability of fertilizers and quality seeds across all districts.

Key agricultural directives included:

  • Ensuring sufficient stock of fertilizers and seeds
  • Promoting Nano Urea and alternative fertilizers
  • Achieving 100 percent registration of eligible farmers under PM-Kisan
  • Expanding enrolment on the AgriStack digital platform

Health and Nutrition Remain Top Priorities

The Chief Minister asked the Health Department to remain fully prepared to address seasonal diseases and strengthen healthcare delivery in tribal and remote areas.

Special emphasis was placed on:

  • Ayushman Bharat implementation
  • Universal institutional deliveries
  • Sickle Cell Disease screening
  • Mukhyamantri Swasth Bastar Yojana

Officials were directed to intensify efforts to improve healthcare access and preventive health services across the Bastar division.

Women Empowerment and Nutrition Initiatives

Sai highlighted the importance of strengthening women-led self-help groups (SHGs) and expanding livelihood opportunities.

He directed authorities to:

  • Assign Ready-to-Eat food production work to women’s groups
  • Increase the number of malnutrition-free Anganwadi centres
  • Ensure eligible women receive benefits under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana

The government aims to improve both nutrition outcomes and women’s economic participation through these interventions.

Drinking Water and Road Safety

Given the ongoing summer season, the Chief Minister instructed district administrations to maintain continuous monitoring of drinking water supply systems and ensure uninterrupted access in rural and urban areas.

He also emphasized public awareness campaigns on:

  • Helmet usage
  • Seat belt compliance
  • Road safety practices
  • Emergency services under Dial 112

The objective is to reduce road accident fatalities and strengthen emergency response systems across the state.

Review of Key Development Programs

The meeting also included detailed reviews of several flagship schemes and infrastructure projects, including:

  • Mukhyamantri Swamitva Yojana
  • Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana
  • PM Janman
  • Bihan Yojana
  • Tendu Leaf Procurement
  • PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme
  • Jal Jeevan Mission
  • Atal Digital Service Centres
  • E-Office Implementation
  • District Mineral Foundation (DMF) Projects
  • Education Quality Initiatives
  • Road Infrastructure Development
  • Law and Order

Special Focus on Remote Tribal Areas

Recognizing the unique developmental needs of remote tribal regions, the Chief Minister called for stronger water conservation measures in Pakhanjur to support fisheries development.

He also directed authorities to prioritize DMF-funded projects in remote areas such as Antagarh and Koylibeda, particularly in sectors like:

  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Livelihood generation
  • Malnutrition eradication

These interventions are expected to strengthen socio-economic development in some of the state’s most underserved regions.

Senior Officials Attend Meeting

The review meeting was attended by several public representatives and senior administrative officials, including:

  • Antagarh MLA Vikram Usendi
  • Kanker MLA Asharam Netam
  • Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh
  • Special Secretary Rajat Bansal
  • Bastar Divisional Commissioner Doman Singh
  • District Collectors, Superintendents of Police, DFOs and senior departmental officers

The Sushasan Tihar 2026 initiative remains a key governance platform for the Chhattisgarh government, aimed at strengthening public service delivery, accelerating welfare implementation and improving citizen engagement.

Through regular district-level reviews and grievance resolution mechanisms, the state government seeks to ensure that development benefits reach every section of society, particularly in tribal and rural regions.
