76 Projects Inaugurated and Launched Across Key Sectors Including Roads, Irrigation, Healthcare and Education
Raipur/Gariaband (Economy India): Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 76 development projects worth more than ₹603.46 crore in Gariaband district, aiming to strengthen infrastructure and accelerate socio-economic development in the region.
Addressing a public gathering at the Police Parade Ground in Gariaband, the Chief Minister said the state government remains committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last mile.
Of the total projects announced, 46 completed works worth ₹86.75 crore were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for 30 new projects valued at ₹516.70 crore.

The projects span multiple sectors, including:
- Road connectivity
- Irrigation infrastructure
- Healthcare facilities
- Educational institutions
- Drinking water supply
- Power infrastructure
- Rural development initiatives
The Chief Minister said the projects would significantly improve basic amenities and provide fresh momentum to the district’s development journey.
He highlighted several flagship initiatives of the state government, including the Chief Minister Electricity Bill Settlement Scheme, the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, the Chief Minister Helpline 1076, and the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.
Sai also reiterated the government’s focus on farmers’ welfare, tribal development and women’s empowerment.
Referring to the tribal character of Gariaband, which is home to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) such as the Kamar and Bhunjia communities, he said welfare initiatives under the PM Janman Yojana and Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Excellence Campaign are bringing transformative changes to the region.

The Chief Minister noted that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, more than 41 lakh households across Chhattisgarh are receiving tap water connections.
He also announced that an anicut would be constructed on the Tel River at a cost of ₹7 crore to address the long-standing drinking water issues in the Supbeda region.
Highlighting the government’s housing initiatives, Sai said nearly 26 lakh houses have been sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the state, with around 19.7 lakh houses already completed.
The event was attended by several ministers and public representatives, including Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, MP Roop Kumari Choudhary and Rajim MLA Rohit Sahu.
