Kolkata ( Economy India ) : Metro rail services on Kolkata’s Blue Line were briefly disrupted on Saturday morning after a person allegedly jumped onto the tracks at Kalighat Metro Station in an apparent suicide attempt, according to metro officials.
The incident temporarily affected train operations, causing delays for commuters during the morning hours.

Services Restored After Brief Disruption
A senior Metro Railway official said emergency response teams acted swiftly after the individual entered the tracks. Metro staff immediately initiated safety protocols, and train movement on the affected section was temporarily suspended.
Following the rescue operation and necessary safety checks, normal services on the Blue Line were gradually restored.
