New Delhi (Economy India): The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has achieved a significant milestone by facilitating the recruitment of over 1 million personnel in government organizations during the fiscal year 2024-25. This underscores GeM’s commitment to transparency, compliance, and efficiency in staffing government departments.


GeM Revolutionizing Government Hiring

Established in 2016, GeM has emerged as a one-stop digital platform for government procurement and services. Initially focused on manpower hiring, security, sanitation, and transport services, the platform has since expanded to offer over 330 services, including drone technology, cloud computing, and cybersecurity solutions.

The hiring process via GeM involves 33,000+ service providers supplying skilled and unskilled workforce for various roles, such as:
