Evian-les-Bains, France (Economy India): Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a fundamental shift in the way nations cooperate, urging the international community to move beyond the traditional donor-recipient framework and embrace partnerships built on solidarity, equality, and mutual respect.

Addressing the G7 Outreach Session on “Forging New Partnerships and Rebuilding International Solidarity” in Evian-les-Bains, France, Modi emphasized that global cooperation must be guided by trust, transparency, and shared responsibility in an increasingly interconnected world.

Call for Equal Global Partnerships

Speaking before leaders of the world’s major economies, Prime Minister Modi said that international cooperation should no longer be viewed through the lens of aid dependency.

“The world should move from donor-recipient relationships to partnerships based on solidarity and equality,” he said, stressing that sustainable development and global progress require collaborative approaches rather than hierarchical models of assistance.
