CM Vishnu Deo Sai Congratulates Officials

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the officials and staff of the Women and Child Development Department, along with Anganwadi workers and field-level personnel, for their dedicated efforts.

He stated that the state government has placed maternal and child health at the top of its policy priorities.

“The Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana provides crucial financial support to pregnant women and promotes safe motherhood. Chhattisgarh securing the first position in the national ranking reflects the continuous and sincere efforts of the government and field workers,” the Chief Minister said.

Minister Lakshmi Rajwade Calls It a Proud Moment

Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade described the achievement as a moment of pride for the state and congratulated the departmental team for their coordinated efforts.

She emphasized that the success has been possible due to the visionary leadership and guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

“The coordinated work, commitment, and timely implementation by officials, staff, and Anganwadi workers have helped Chhattisgarh achieve this milestone,” she said.

The minister also expressed confidence that the department will continue working with the same dedication to retain the top position in the future and ensure that every eligible pregnant woman in the state receives the benefits of the scheme on time.

Over 1.86 Lakh Women Registered Under the Scheme

Providing details of the scheme’s implementation, the minister said that in the financial year 2025–26, the state has already registered 1,86,586 pregnant women under the PMMVY scheme.

So far, the state government has transferred ₹72.24 crore directly to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries, ensuring timely financial support for maternal healthcare.

Strengthening Maternal and Child Healthcare

Officials say the effective implementation of the scheme has significantly strengthened maternal and child health services across the state.

With this achievement, Chhattisgarh is emerging as an inspiring model for other states in India in terms of ensuring efficient delivery of maternal welfare schemes and improving health outcomes for women and children.
