“Government committed to honesty, transparency and real change on the ground,” says Chaudhary

Raigarh, Chhattisgarh (Economy India): State Finance Minister and Raigarh MLA O.P. Chaudhary inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth ₹1.49 crore across the villages of Chhuhipali, Banora, Mahapalli, Siyarpali and Gopalpur. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that the government’s priority is not just to announce schemes, but to deliver them with honesty, transparency, and accountability for real change in people’s lives.

“Our goal is to implement schemes on the ground with integrity, ensuring that every initiative brings positive and measurable progress to the lives of common citizens,” he stated.

Focus on Villages, Farmers, Poor Families, and Women

Chaudhary highlighted that the government is moving forward with a development agenda centered on the rural population. He pointed out recent initiatives including:

  • Release of pending paddy bonus to farmers
  • Increased limits and support price for paddy procurement
  • Launch of Mahatari Vandan Yojana for women
  • PM Awas Yojana for housing support to the poor
  • Roads, schools, community halls, and essential infrastructure projects

The minister also announced an additional ₹10 lakh for future village works and instructed Panchayat representatives to ensure strict quality control in all ongoing construction.

Mahatari Vandan Yojana: Empowering Women Financially

The Finance Minister said the Mahatari Vandan Yojana is becoming a strong tool of women empowerment in Chhattisgarh. A total of 2,086 women across the five villages are receiving benefits, and ₹4.59 crore has already been transferred directly into their bank accounts through DBT.

According to the minister, the scheme is helping women become secure, independent, and better able to support their households.

PM Awas Yojana: 478 Rural Families Receive Permanent Homes

The minister informed that 478 houses have been successfully built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, giving poor and economically weaker families access to permanent housing.

Mahatari Sadan Inaugurated in Mahapalli & Gopalpur

Two Mahatari Sadans, constructed at a combined cost of ₹49.40 lakh, were inaugurated. Chaudhary said these centers will serve as platforms for women’s community activities, training, and self-help initiatives.

“Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai’s leadership, the government is committed to making rural women socially and economically self-reliant,” Chaudhary said.

With ongoing development initiatives, Minister O.P. Chaudhary affirmed that the state government will continue to prioritize transparency, grassroots progress, and rural upliftment.
