Droupadi Murmu today graced the inauguration ceremony of the Amrit Udyan Winter Annual Edition 2026 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The iconic gardens will be open to the general public from February 3 to March 31, 2026, offering visitors free entry through online booking.

President Droupadi Murmu Inaugurates Amrit Udyan Winter Edition 2026; Gardens Open to Public from February 3

New Delhi (Economy India): President of India Droupadi Murmu today graced the inauguration ceremony of the Amrit Udyan Winter Annual Edition 2026 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The iconic gardens will be open to the general public from February 3 to March 31, 2026, offering visitors free entry through online booking.

The Amrit Udyan will remain open six days a week from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the last entry at 5:00 pm. The garden will be closed on Mondays for maintenance and on March 4 on account of Holi.

Entry Free, Online Booking Mandatory

Entry to Amrit Udyan is completely free, but visitors must book their tickets only through the official online portal:

To enhance visitor experience, on-spot booking will not be available this year. Booking for any specific date will close at 10:00 am on the previous day, and visitors are advised to strictly adhere to the time slot and instructions mentioned on their tickets.

Special Days for Specific Groups

The gardens will be exclusively open to special categories on designated days:

  • March 3 – Defence personnel
  • March 5 – Senior citizens
  • March 10 – Women and tribal women Self-Help Groups
  • March 13 – Persons with disabilities

Visitor Entry, Shuttle Service and Garden Route

All visitors will enter and exit through Gate No. 35, located near North Avenue and Rashtrapati Bhavan Chowk. A shuttle bus service will operate every 30 minutes between Central Secretariat Metro Station and Gate No. 35 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, with the last shuttle from the metro station at 4:00 pm.

The designated visitor route includes:
Bal Vatika – Palmaria Garden – Banyan Garden – Bonsai Garden – Flowing Stream – Central Lawn – Long Garden – Circular Garden

Highlights of Amrit Udyan 2026

Along with tulips and multiple varieties of roses, visitors will experience:

  • A flowing stream with waterfalls
  • Banyan Garden featuring reflexology pathways

Basic amenities such as drinking water, toilets, and first-aid/medical facilities will be available throughout the public route.

Visitors are permitted to carry mobile phones, electronic car keys, handbags, water bottles, and milk bottles for infants.

Additional Attractions at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Apart from Amrit Udyan, visitors can also tour:

  • Rashtrapati Bhavan and Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum (Tuesday to Sunday)
  • Change of Guard Ceremony held every Saturday
