New Delhi, (Eonomy India): Infrastructure developer Ceigall India Ltd has received a completion certificate for its Rs1,659.84-crore Delhi–Saharanpur highway project, marking the completion of all highway works covered under the project.
In a statement on Wednesday, the company said it had received the certificate from the Authority’s Engineer for a key section of the Delhi–Saharanpur Highway in Uttar Pradesh. The project was executed jointly with Gayatri Projects Ltd for the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The project involves developing a six-lane, access-controlled stretch of National Highway 709B, connecting the Delhi–Uttar Pradesh border to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) Junction.

Six-Lane Highway Stretch Completed
The completed section extends from Chainage 14.750 km to 31.600 km, covering approximately 16.85 kilometres.
Designed as a six-lane, access-controlled highway, the stretch forms part of the broader Delhi–Saharanpur highway corridor, which is intended to improve road connectivity between the national capital region and western Uttar Pradesh.
The completion certificate confirms that the highway works covered by the project have been completed, according to the company.
Ceigall India and Gayatri Projects Executed the Work
Ceigall India executed the project jointly with Gayatri Projects Ltd for NHAI. The completion certificate was issued by the Authority’s Engineer, marking an important milestone in the project’s execution.
For infrastructure developers, such certification represents a formal project milestone and can support the transition from construction to the subsequent contractual and operational processes, subject to the applicable project terms.

Focus on Regional Connectivity
The Delhi–Saharanpur Highway is part of the road infrastructure network serving Delhi-NCR and neighbouring areas of Uttar Pradesh.
A six-lane, access-controlled corridor is designed to facilitate more organised traffic movement by limiting direct access to the main carriageway. Such highways can support passenger travel and freight movement, although actual travel-time and traffic benefits depend on the wider network, junctions and operational conditions.
The completed stretch connects the Delhi–Uttar Pradesh border with the EPE Junction, linking the corridor with a key expressway junction in the region.
