( Economy India ): When it comes to land area, King Fahd International Airport (DMM) in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, is the largest airport in the world. It covers an astonishing 776–780 square kilometres, making it larger than the entire country of Bahrain.
Opened for commercial operations in 1999, the airport was designed with future expansion in mind. Although much of its land remains reserved for future development, it already features modern passenger terminals, long parallel runways capable of handling the world’s largest aircraft, cargo facilities, hotels, and a dedicated Royal Terminal.
King Fahd International Airport serves millions of passengers every year and connects Saudi Arabia with destinations across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Its massive size and advanced infrastructure make it one of the most remarkable aviation hubs in the world.
