Hyderabad( Economy India ): A shocking murder case has emerged from Telangana’s Nizamabad district, where a woman has been accused of killing her husband by allegedly injecting toilet cleaner into his body through a medical cannula while he was receiving treatment at a hospital.
According to police, the victim, Prasanth (35), was employed in a Gulf country and had recently returned to India. His death came to light on June 30, but the circumstances surrounding the incident raised suspicions within the family.
The case was formally reported on July 1, when Prasanth’s mother approached the police with a complaint. She stated that she was unaware that her son had returned home from abroad and had no information about the events leading up to his hospitalization and death.
The grieving mother expressed serious doubts about the involvement of her daughter-in-law, Sandhya, describing the death as mysterious and requesting a thorough investigation.
During the investigation, police allegedly discovered evidence suggesting that Sandhya injected toilet cleaning liquid through a cannula inserted into Prasanth’s body while he was undergoing treatment. Authorities believe the toxic substance led to his death.
Police have registered a case and taken the accused into custody. Investigators are now examining the motive behind the alleged murder, including possible family disputes or other personal reasons.
Officials said further forensic examination and witness statements are being collected to establish the complete sequence of events. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as police continue their inquiry.
