CM Bhajan Lal Sharma invites UAE investment in tourism, energy and hospitality; highlights Rajasthan’s rich heritage and investment potential
Jaipur (Economy India): Companies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have shown keen interest in investing in Rajasthan’s hospitality sector, according to the UAE Ministry, as the state seeks to attract greater foreign investment across tourism, energy and other key sectors.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday invited UAE companies to explore investment opportunities in the state, highlighting its rich cultural heritage, tourism potential and investor-friendly environment.
Sharma was addressing the UAE-Rajasthan Tourism and Investment Round Table held at the Rambagh Palace Hotel in Jaipur.

Rajasthan Offers Wide Range of Investment Opportunities
The Chief Minister highlighted Rajasthan’s diverse tourism and economic assets, including its historic forts, palaces and havelis, as well as deserts, wildlife sanctuaries and cultural attractions.
He also pointed to the state’s established industries and natural resources, including:
- Gems and jewellery
- Handicrafts
- Textiles
- Minerals
- Tourism and hospitality
- Energy
Sharma said Rajasthan has significant potential for UAE companies looking to expand their investments in India.
“Rajasthan has immense potential for UAE companies. The state government will provide every possible support to investors. Investment in Rajasthan will only bring benefits, not losses,” Sharma said.
Hospitality Sector Emerges as Key Opportunity
Rajasthan’s tourism-driven economy makes the hospitality sector particularly attractive for international investors.
The state’s historic cities, heritage properties, wildlife destinations and desert tourism offer opportunities for hotels, resorts, tourism infrastructure and related services.
Greater investment in hospitality could also create employment opportunities and support local businesses connected to tourism, handicrafts and transportation.
UAE-Rajasthan Investment Cooperation
The tourism and investment round table provided a platform for discussions between Rajasthan government representatives and UAE businesses on potential investment opportunities.
The engagement comes as India and the UAE continue to strengthen economic relations and explore opportunities across multiple sectors.
For Rajasthan, attracting international capital is also part of efforts to expand its tourism infrastructure and develop new investment opportunities beyond traditional industries.
Focus on Energy and Other Sectors
While hospitality and tourism were key areas of discussion, Sharma also invited UAE companies to invest in energy and other sectors.
Rajasthan’s geographical conditions and availability of land have made it an important destination for renewable energy projects, particularly solar power.
Investment in energy, tourism and allied infrastructure could further support the state’s economic development and employment generation.

Government Assures Investor Support
Sharma assured potential investors that the Rajasthan government would provide all possible assistance to facilitate investment in the state.
The Chief Minister’s message was aimed at giving UAE companies confidence about the state’s investment environment and encouraging them to explore long-term business opportunities.
