Bhubaneswar (Economy India): Odisha is positioning itself as a future hub for clean energy, green fuels and low-carbon industrial development, with the state government accelerating its transition from conventional power generation to a sustainable energy economy, Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo said on Wednesday.
Speaking at the 5th edition of E3: Energise, Empower, East, the flagship power and electrical equipment industry event for Eastern India, Singh Deo outlined the state’s long-term vision of becoming a major destination for renewable energy investments and green industrial growth.

The Deputy Chief Minister said Odisha is leveraging its strong industrial base, abundant natural resources and strategic location to build a diversified clean energy ecosystem.
“Odisha aims to transition from decades of conventional power generation to become a leading hub for clean power, green fuels and a low-carbon industry,” Singh Deo said.
The state’s strategy focuses on balancing industrial expansion with sustainability while supporting India’s broader climate and energy transition goals.
