Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that the prosperity and well-being of farmers remain the highest priority of the double-engine government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

₹4,352.40 Crore Credited to Farmers in Uttar Pradesh
According to official figures, more than 2.17 crore farmers in Uttar Pradesh received the latest installment under the PM-Kisan scheme. A total amount of ₹4,352.40 crore was directly transferred into their bank accounts.
The state government said the scheme has played a significant role in improving farmers’ financial security by providing direct income support without any intermediaries.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the central and state governments are jointly committed to improving the living standards of farmers and ensuring that agricultural communities receive the benefits of various welfare programs.

Yogi Adityanath Highlights Government Commitment
The Chief Minister said that farmers are the backbone of India’s economy and that their prosperity is essential for the country’s overall development.
He emphasized that the double-engine government has implemented several farmer-centric initiatives aimed at increasing agricultural productivity, improving rural incomes, and strengthening agricultural infrastructure.
According to Yogi Adityanath, transparent governance and the use of digital platforms have ensured that government benefits reach farmers directly and efficiently.
PM-Kisan Scheme Continues to Support Rural Economy
The PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme provides eligible farmer families with financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.
Since its launch, the scheme has become one of the world’s largest direct income support programs for farmers. The funds are transferred directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts, ensuring transparency and reducing delays.
Government officials believe the scheme has helped farmers meet agricultural expenses, purchase seeds and fertilizers, and manage household requirements.
Direct Benefit Transfer Strengthens Transparency
The government has repeatedly emphasized the importance of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in ensuring that welfare benefits reach intended beneficiaries without leakages.
Officials said the latest installment demonstrates the government’s commitment to financial inclusion and transparent governance.
The integration of Aadhaar, bank accounts, and digital verification systems has helped improve the efficiency of benefit transfers under the PM-Kisan scheme.
Impact on Rural Development
Experts believe that regular financial assistance under PM-Kisan contributes significantly to rural demand and economic activity.
The direct transfer of funds to millions of farmers helps strengthen rural consumption, supports agricultural investments, and provides financial stability to farming households.
In a state like Uttar Pradesh, where agriculture remains a major source of livelihood, such support schemes play an important role in enhancing rural prosperity.

Government Focus on Agriculture
The Uttar Pradesh government has launched several initiatives in recent years to support farmers, including irrigation projects, crop insurance schemes, procurement programs, and investments in rural infrastructure.
Officials said the state government remains committed to ensuring that every eligible farmer receives the benefits of government welfare schemes.
The latest PM-Kisan installment further reinforces the government’s emphasis on farmer welfare and agricultural development as key pillars of inclusive economic growth.
