New Delhi ( Economy India ) : India’s financial markets, including the stock, currency, and commodity markets, will remain closed on Friday in observance of Muharram, one of the significant holidays in the trading calendar.
Trading activities on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain suspended for the day. The foreign exchange market and major commodity exchanges will also remain closed.

No Trading Across Key Financial Markets
Investors and traders will not be able to execute transactions in equities, equity derivatives, currency derivatives, interest rate derivatives, or commodity futures during the holiday.
Normal trading across all segments is expected to resume on the next working day.
Muharram Holiday
Muharram marks the beginning of the Islamic New Year and is observed as a public holiday in several parts of India. Financial markets follow the official holiday calendar announced at the beginning of each year.
What Investors Should Know
