NEW DELHI, (Economy india): Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon has secured a new order for 250 MW of wind energy capacity from Torrent Green Energy, marking another major step in the long-standing partnership between the two companies.

According to a company statement issued on Tuesday, this is the sixth order that Suzlon has received from Torrent Green Energy. With the latest order, the cumulative partnership between the two companies has crossed 1.3 GW.

The projects under their partnership are spread across three key states — Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. The latest order further strengthens Suzlon’s position in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.

Suzlon Group Vice Chairman Girish Tanti said the company’s success should be measured not only by individual orders but also by long-term partnerships that continue to expand.

He described Torrent Green Energy as one of Suzlon’s valued partners for more than a decade and said the relationship has developed into one of Suzlon’s largest customer partnerships.

The latest order comes at a time when India is accelerating its transition towards renewable energy and increasing its focus on wind and solar power to meet growing electricity demand.

Suzlon has been expanding its presence in India’s wind energy market as developers and power companies increase investments in clean energy projects. The new 250 MW order from Torrent Green Energy is expected to further contribute to the development of wind power capacity across the country.

With the partnership now exceeding 1.3 GW, both companies are expected to continue their collaboration in supporting India’s renewable energy expansion and clean power generation goals.
