State Records ₹19,680 Crore SGST Collection in First Four Months, Outpaces National Growth
CHANDIGARH (Economy India): : Haryana has continued its strong fiscal performance by retaining the top position among Indian states in the growth of post-settlement State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) collections during the first four months of the financial year 2026-27.
According to an official statement citing the latest data released by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Haryana registered a 31% year-on-year growth in post-settlement SGST collections between April and July 2026, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s fastest-growing state economies.

July SGST Collection Surges 28%
In July 2026, Haryana collected ₹5,135 crore in post-settlement SGST, compared to ₹4,027 crore in July 2025, reflecting a robust 28% annual growth.
The state’s growth rate is more than double the national average of 13%, highlighting stronger tax compliance, increased economic activity, and improved revenue administration.
Four-Month Collection Nears ₹20,000 Crore
For the April–July 2026 period, Haryana’s post-settlement SGST collection reached ₹19,680 crore, significantly higher than ₹15,055 crore collected during the same period of the previous financial year.
The impressive 31% increase demonstrates sustained momentum in the state’s revenue generation and fiscal management.
