New Delhi (Economy India): Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd. reported a 6% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit for the first quarter of FY2026-27, supported by robust demand across decorative and industrial paint segments and improved pricing.

The growth reflects healthy demand across key business segments despite global macroeconomic uncertainties.

Total Income and Expenses Increase

The company’s total income, including other income, increased 9.65% to ₹2,428.53 crore during the quarter.

Meanwhile, total expenses rose 10.25% year-on-year to ₹2,116.07 crore, driven by higher operational and input costs.

Despite the increase in expenditure, the company maintained profitability through stronger sales and improved realizations.

Management Commentary

Commenting on the quarterly performance, Praveen Chaudhary, Managing Director of Kansai Nerolac Paints, said demand remained healthy across both decorative and industrial businesses despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainties.

“During the quarter, despite the prevailing geopolitical situation, demand remained healthy in both decorative and industrial segments. The delayed monsoon also supported market demand,” he said.

According to the company, the delayed onset of the monsoon extended painting and construction activity in several regions, contributing to stronger sales during the quarter.
