President to attend convocation ceremonies, inaugurate development projects, and engage with tribal communities during the six-day visit
New Delhi (Economy India): President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu will undertake an official visit to Odisha and Chhattisgarh from February 2 to February 7, 2026, during which she will participate in academic, cultural, tribal, and development-related programmes.
The President will arrive in Bhubaneswar on the evening of February 2.

Convocation, Education and Development Focus in Odisha
On February 3, President Murmu will attend the convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University in Balasore and inaugurate the university’s newly constructed auditorium.
On February 4, the President will visit Rairangpur, where she will unveil the statue of Bhanjbir Sunaram Soren at the Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Mahuldiha, and interact with students.
During the visit, she will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several key projects, including:
- Government Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital
- OUAT campus facilities
- Archery centre
- Urban beautification and drainage improvement projects
- Various CSR initiatives
- IT campus of MSCB University

Interaction with Tribal Communities and Global Summit
On February 6, President Murmu will interact with tribal women and youth in Similipal, highlighting inclusive development and empowerment of indigenous communities.
Later the same day, she will attend the “Black Swan Summit, India” in Bhubaneswar, organised by the Government of Odisha in collaboration with the Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN).
Bastar Pandum 2026 in Chhattisgarh
On February 7, the President will visit Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh to inaugurate the ‘Bastar Pandum 2026’ festival, a major cultural event celebrating the heritage, art, and traditions of the Bastar region.
