Five-Year-Old Child Allegedly Assaulted in Teacher’s Absence; CCTV Footage Under Investigation

Lucknow (Economy India): A disturbing incident has come to light from Lucknow, where a five-year-old nursery student was allegedly assaulted by the class monitor inside the classroom in the absence of the teacher. The incident reportedly took place at ALS Academy and has triggered widespread concern among parents over student safety and classroom supervision.

According to the child’s family, the student was repeatedly slapped and physically assaulted by the class monitor for allegedly not keeping his head down during a classroom punishment. Following a complaint by the parents, the school administration reviewed CCTV footage, which reportedly captured the entire incident.

Alleged Assault During Teacher’s Absence

According to reports, the class teacher had instructed around 18 nursery students to sit on their benches with their heads down as a form of classroom discipline.

When the teacher temporarily left the classroom, the student monitor allegedly noticed one child raising his head. The monitor then reportedly began slapping the child repeatedly and also pulled his hair.

The parents have alleged that the assault lasted for nearly two minutes, during which the child was slapped multiple times.

CCTV Footage Reportedly Captures Incident

The child’s parents approached the school principal after noticing injuries on the student’s face.

Following their complaint, the school reviewed CCTV footage installed in the classroom. According to the parents and school officials, the footage reportedly shows the monitor repeatedly assaulting the child during the teacher’s absence.

The CCTV footage has now become an important part of the ongoing investigation.

Classroom Door Allegedly Closed

Reports further suggest that the student monitor allegedly closed the classroom door from inside during the incident.

When the child reportedly tried to move toward another exit, the monitor allegedly pulled him back to his seat and continued the assault.

Other children present in the classroom reportedly remained seated with their heads down, following the teacher’s earlier instructions.

School Takes Immediate Action

After the incident came to light, the school administration initiated an internal inquiry.

According to school authorities, the student monitor has been removed from the school following the incident.

The school has assured the child’s family that it is cooperating fully with the investigation and has promised appropriate corrective measures.

Police Register Case

Based on the complaint filed by the child’s parents, the local police have registered a case and begun an investigation.

Officials are examining CCTV footage and recording statements from school staff, parents, and other relevant individuals to determine the exact sequence of events.

Police have stated that further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.

Growing Concerns Over Student Safety

The incident has reignited discussions about classroom discipline, supervision of young children, and safety protocols in schools.

Education experts say that nursery and primary school students require constant adult supervision, and disciplinary responsibilities should never be delegated to children.

Parents have demanded strict accountability and stronger child protection measures to prevent similar incidents in educational institutions.

The investigation is currently underway, and authorities are expected to take further action after reviewing all available evidence.
