New Delhi (Economy India): The Indian primary market is set for an action-packed week, with 11 main-board companies planning to raise around Rs 7,055 crore through initial public offerings (IPOs) as investor activity in the primary market continues to remain strong.
The upcoming IPOs are scheduled to hit the market between September 7 and September 15, with most of the issues expected to open for subscription on Tuesday and Wednesday. The fundraising plans include offerings from companies such as Rentomojo, Karamtara Engineering and Kanohar Electricals.

11 Main-Board IPOs to Hit the Market
The upcoming IPO calendar highlights the growing appetite among companies to tap equity markets for expansion and capital raising. Collectively, the 11 companies are targeting approximately Rs 7,055 crore through their public offerings.
The concentration of multiple issues within a short period is expected to keep investors, market intermediaries and analysts closely engaged with the primary market.
According to Rajkumar Rathi, Chief Investment Officer at YES Securities, the rush of issues reflects investors’ interest in gaining exposure to emerging businesses at an early stage.
“This multi-issue rush reflects an eagerness to lock in early-stage growth equity in young companies as all these companies are below USD 1 billion market cap at listing,” Rathi said.
Primary Market Activity Gathers Pace
The latest IPO pipeline comes amid continued interest in India’s equity markets, with companies increasingly looking at public listings to raise capital and provide an exit opportunity to existing investors.
For investors, the concentration of IPOs also means they will need to evaluate individual offerings carefully, particularly their business models, valuations, growth prospects and use of IPO proceeds.
The fact that the companies are expected to have market capitalisations below USD 1 billion at listing, according to Rathi, puts them in the small- and emerging-company segment of the listed market.
Rentomojo, Karamtara Engineering Among Key Issues
Rentomojo, Karamtara Engineering and Kanohar Electricals are among the companies scheduled to tap the primary market during the upcoming IPO window.
The simultaneous launch of multiple offerings could create competition for investor funds, particularly among retail and high-net-worth investors looking to participate in several issues.
Market participants will therefore closely monitor subscription trends, investor-category demand and listing expectations as the IPOs open over the coming days.
What Investors Should Watch
With 11 main-board IPOs seeking a combined Rs 7,055 crore, investors are likely to focus on:
- Company valuations and IPO pricing
- Revenue and profit growth
- Industry outlook and competitive positioning
- Promoter and existing investor holdings
- Intended use of IPO proceeds
- Subscription levels across investor categories
- Grey-market sentiment and listing expectations
While strong demand for IPOs can indicate healthy investor participation, subscription numbers alone may not reflect the long-term investment potential of a company.
Primary Market Outlook
The upcoming IPO rush underlines the continuing importance of India’s primary market as a source of growth capital for businesses. With 11 companies scheduled to raise funds over a short period, September is shaping up to be an important month for IPO activity.
The response to these issues could provide further indications of investor appetite for smaller and emerging companies seeking a place in India’s listed equity market.
