ASSOCHAM Southern region is organising the Second Edition of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Sustainability Awards to recognize companies that have made a positive impact from March 2020 through their innovative and sustainable CSR & sustainability initiatives.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a self-regulating business model that helps a company be socially accountable—to itself, its stakeholders, and the public. By practicing corporate social responsibility, companies can be conscious of the kind of impact they are having on all aspects of society, including economic, social, and environmental.

CSR is a way of conducting business, by which corporate entities visibly contribute to the social good. Socially responsible companies use CSR to integrate economic, environmental and social objectives with the company’s operations and growth. Sustainability is awareness that each entity is surrounded by stakeholders. Building and cultivating good relations with stakeholders based on engagement and dialogue is crucial, because it not only affects the possibilities to manage risks, but also supports development and gives the organization a competitive edge.

ASSOCHAM SOUTHERN Region office organized the CSR and NGO Awards to recognize the Corporates, Institutions, and NGOs towards the COVID-19 activities in the State of Karnataka on the 14th October 2020.

This event was organised in partnership with DCTE – Govt of Karnataka, SAP India, Smile Foundation and STEM Learning. The CSR and NGO Awards 2020 presented to SAP, Brillio, Volvo, CGI, Dell, TCS, Cognizant, ICICI, and many others.
