Exploring Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Vision of an Inclusive Economy for Viksit Bharat 2047

Celebrating the 135th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

NEW DELHI (Economy India): The Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce and Industry™ (ACCI) will organise the Inclusive Economy Summit 2026 on April 14, 2026, at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi, to commemorate the 135th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

The daylong national forum will bring together political leaders, policymakers, economists, industry heads, entrepreneurs, development sector leaders, youth voices, and media stakeholders for a focused dialogue on economic democracy and inclusive growth.

A National Tribute Rooted in Policy and Intellectual Engagement

The Summit is envisioned as a substantive and policy-oriented tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy as one of India’s greatest thinkers on justice, dignity, empowerment, and nation-building. While widely recognised as the chief architect of the Constitution of India, Dr. Ambedkar was also a pioneering economist and institutional reformer who championed fiscal justice, labour rights, equitable access to resources, and democratic participation in economic opportunity.

The Summit seeks to revisit and connect his economic vision with India’s contemporary national mission of building a Viksit Bharat by 2047, reaffirming that true development must be participatory in spirit, dignified in practice, and equitable in outcomes.

Rusen Kumar, National President, Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, “Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar gave India not only a Constitution but a powerful economic vision rooted in dignity, justice, and opportunity. The Inclusive Economy Summit 2026 is our collective commitment to revive that vision and shape a development roadmap where growth is not exclusive but truly participatory and equitable.”

“Economic democracy is the real foundation of a strong nation. When entrepreneurship, credit access, and livelihood opportunities reach every community, India becomes unstoppable. Through this Summit, we aim to ignite a national movement that transforms Ambedkar’s ideas into practical economic empowerment.”, Rusen Kumar added.

Participation of Prominent Political and National Leaders
The Inclusive Economy Summit 2026 will witness the participation of several senior Union Ministers, Members of Parliament, national policymakers, and distinguished dignitaries, reflecting the growing national commitment to inclusive development and economic justice.

The presence of high-level political leadership and key decision-makers will add strength and seriousness to the Summit’s deliberations, ensuring that the discussions remain closely aligned with India’s long-term policy priorities for Viksit Bharat 2047. Their collective engagement will also reinforce the Summit’s core message—that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision of economic democracy, dignity, and opportunity for all must guide the country’s future growth agenda and institutional reforms.

Focus Areas: Economic Democracy, Entrepreneurship, and Fiscal Justice
The Summit aims to deepen national understanding of Dr. Ambedkar’s economic thought and advance actionable discussions on inclusive capital systems, entrepreneurship for marginalized communities, institutional reforms, labour protections, social security, fiscal justice, industrial development, and MSME opportunity equalisation. Discussions will revolve around themes such as economic democracy, inclusive growth, finance and credit access, entrepreneurship, governance frameworks, and policy innovations aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047. By integrating Ambedkar’s principles with present-day policy debates, the forum will offer a meaningful roadmap for strengthening opportunity, dignity, and economic participation across India.

Key Deliverable: Ambedkar Inclusive Economy Declaration

A key outcome of the Summit will be the presentation of the “Ambedkar Inclusive Economy Declaration”, a formal statement of national commitment to inclusive economic development and policy reform.

The Summit will also generate policy recommendations, strengthen institutional support for inclusive entrepreneurship, and build networks across government, private sector, development institutions, and finance ecosystems. This declaration will serve as a guiding document that reflects the collective resolve to embed equality and justice in India’s economic growth narrative.

Special Feature: Painting Exhibition on Dr. Ambedkar’s Life and Legacy

A special feature of the Summit will be a Painting Exhibition dedicated to Dr. Ambedkar, capturing his life, struggles, reforms, and nation-building contributions through artistic narratives.

The programme will include plenary sessions, leadership sessions, valedictory proceedings, and the official strengthening and national positioning of the Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a platform for inclusive participation and economic empowerment. The exhibition will add cultural depth to the event while reminding participants that Dr. Ambedkar’s economic vision remains deeply connected to dignity, rights, and human transformation.
