New Delhi (Economy India): The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a consolidated reserve list for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2024. This list supplements the main results declared earlier on November 22, 2024, recommending 206 candidates for appointment based on merit.
Key Highlights
- Three additional candidates have now been recommended to fill withheld vacancies from the original list.
- The reserve list has been prepared under Rule 13(iv) and 13(v) of the ESE-2024 Examination Rules.
- Based on a requisition from the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, UPSC has now recommended 35 more candidates from the consolidated reserve list to fill remaining vacancies.

Breakdown of the 35 Recommended Candidates
- 20 candidates from Unreserved (UR) category
- 13 from Other Backward Classes (OBC)
- 2 from Scheduled Tribes (ST)
These candidates will be directly contacted by the Department of Telecommunications for further formalities and appointment procedures.
Provisional Recommendations
The candidature of the following three candidates is provisional, pending verification of their original documents:
- Roll No. 0202438
- Roll No. 0503707
- Roll No. 0504240
UPSC has made it clear that no appointment offer will be issued to these candidates until the required documents are verified. Moreover, the provisional status is valid for only three months from the date of the reserve list declaration. Failure to submit documents within this period will lead to cancellation of candidature without further correspondence.
The Engineering Services Examination (ESE) is a prestigious national-level exam conducted annually by UPSC to recruit technical and engineering professionals for various government departments. The consolidated reserve list serves as a mechanism to fill unanticipated or withheld vacancies after the final results are declared.
