Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath briefs Prime Minister Modi on major infrastructure projects, investor summits, and welfare schemes progressing in Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi (Economy India): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today to discuss key developmental initiatives, investment updates, and ongoing infrastructure projects in the state. The high-level meeting reflects the state’s continued push toward industrial transformation, infrastructure expansion, and welfare delivery under the central government’s policy framework.

Focus of the Meeting

According to official sources, the Chief Minister’s meeting with the Prime Minister centered around:

  • Review of ongoing central and state-funded infrastructure projects such as expressways, airports, and logistics parks.
  • Investment progress under Global Investors Summit (GIS 2023) and the follow-up industrial proposals nearing implementation.
  • Updates on social welfare programs like housing, employment generation, and rural development schemes.
  • Preparations for upcoming state-level governance and investment review sessions.

The meeting also focused on public-private partnerships (PPPs) in emerging sectors such as green energy, manufacturing, and logistics to boost job creation and industrial competitiveness.

Infrastructure and Industrial Push

Under CM Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, Uttar Pradesh has been among India’s fastest-growing states in terms of infrastructure spending and industrial approvals.

  • The state government has prioritized expressway connectivity including Ganga Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, and Purvanchal Expressway.
  • Ayodhya International Airport and Jewar (Noida) International Airport are among flagship aviation projects aimed at strengthening regional connectivity.
  • Industrial clusters are being developed under the Defence Corridor, Textile Policy, and Electronics Manufacturing Zones to attract domestic and foreign investors.

Governance and Welfare Review

Sources indicated that CM Yogi also apprised PM Modi about the implementation of welfare schemes, including:

  • PM Awas Yojana (Urban & Rural)
  • PM Kisan Samman Nidhi
  • Ayushman Bharat
  • Mission Amrit Sarovar

Yogi Adityanath reiterated that the state government remains committed to “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”, aligning its programs with the central government’s vision of inclusive and sustainable development.

Strengthening Centre-State Coordination

The meeting is seen as a reaffirmation of strong coordination between the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government.
Yogi Adityanath and PM Modi have consistently emphasized collaborative federalism and have jointly launched several projects in the past, including major industrial corridors and urban infrastructure missions.

Political analysts say such meetings help maintain policy synchronization between Lucknow and New Delhi — ensuring continuity in big-ticket reforms and mega-projects that require multi-departmental cooperation.
