Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to Launch Agrisure Fund and Agriculture Investment Portal

NEW DELHI (Economy India): Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, will inaugurate the Agrisure Fund and Agriculture Investment Portal tomorrow at Pusa, New Delhi. The event will also see the presence of Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Mr. Bhagirath Chaudhary, and Mr. Ram Nath Thakur. During the event, Mr. Chouhan will honor the best-performing banks and states under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) scheme with the Greenathon AIF Excellence Awards.

Launch of Agrisure Fund and Agriculture Investment Portal

The Agrisure Fund and Agriculture Investment Portal, launched by Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, aim to boost investment and development in the agricultural sector. The portal will provide farmers with crucial information and assistance related to investments. The Agrisure Fund will offer financial support to various projects and schemes, thereby strengthening agricultural infrastructure.

Recognition for Banks and States

On this occasion, Mr. Chouhan will present the Greenathon AIF Excellence Awards to banks and states that have excelled in various categories. He stated, “These awards will inspire banks and states to further enhance agricultural infrastructure. This will not only benefit farmers but also strengthen the country’s agricultural economy.”

Objective of the AIF Scheme

Launched in 2020, the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) scheme is designed to develop post-harvest management and community farming resources. The scheme provides farmers with the necessary resources and facilities for better management and marketing of their produce.

Special Campaigns and Motivation

To ensure the success of the AIF scheme, the government runs special campaigns aimed at encouraging farmers and related institutions to participate effectively. Mr. Chouhan remarked, “These award ceremonies will motivate other banks and states to improve their performance and contribute to the development of agricultural infrastructure.”

Future of Agricultural Infrastructure

The recognition and awards given under the AIF scheme not only honor current achievements but also lay a strong foundation for the future. These initiatives are expected to bring positive changes in the agricultural sector and help increase farmers’ incomes.
