PM Modi’s Vision for a Prosperous India

During the event, Prime Minister Modi emphasized his government’s long-standing commitment to uplifting the poor and marginalized communities. He stated, “Bringing prosperity to the lives of the poor and underprivileged has been our government’s primary goal. Over the past 10 years, we have achieved remarkable success in meeting this goal.”

He added that through initiatives like PMAY, the dream of owning a home is becoming a reality for millions of families across India.

23,000 Urban Families Receive Keys to Their New Homes

As part of the celebrations, more than 23,000 urban families were handed the keys to their newly constructed homes. These families also received completion certificates, ceremonial torans (door hangings), and essential items for the home’s inaugural rituals.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, while addressing the gathering, expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi, stating that this was a day of “double happiness” for the people of Chhattisgarh. He remarked, “Today is a day of joy not only because of Prime Minister Modi’s birthday but also because of the fulfillment of the housing dreams of thousands of Chhattisgarh families.”

Strict Accountability for PMAY Implementation

Chief Minister Sai assured the public of strict measures to ensure the smooth implementation of the housing scheme, warning against any negligence or malpractices. He declared, “If there is any complaint regarding irregularities in the PMAY, strict action will be taken against the district collector.”

He further urged the citizens to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and committed to integrating cleanliness as a daily habit for every individual.

Milestone Achievements in Housing Sector

The government highlighted that the PMAY has approved over 32 lakh houses nationwide, of which approximately 30% were allocated to Chhattisgarh. The state’s Chief Minister emphasized that this was a major achievement, with over 5 lakh beneficiaries in the state receiving the first installment of funding for housing construction.

Future Plans and Expansion of PMAY

The central government has committed to constructing 4 crore homes under the PMAY, with 3 crore more homes to be approved during Prime Minister Modi’s third term. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma also mentioned that “25,000 new houses are being built every month under PMAY, and 1.96 lakh homes are already completed.”

The government further announced that names missing from the PMAY list will soon be added, ensuring that every deserving family gets a chance to benefit from the scheme.
