Government likely to disburse next tranche under PM-Kisan Yojana in early November; Agriculture Minister urges states to expedite e-KYC and verification
New Delhi ( Eonomy India): The Union Government is set to release the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme in the first week of November, benefiting over 10 crore farmers across India. Each eligible farmer will receive ₹2,000 directly into their bank accounts under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
According to official sources, the release could take place just before the Bihar Assembly elections, scheduled for November 6 and 11, although the government has yet to formally announce the date.
Agriculture Minister’s Statement
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan confirmed that the next tranche of payments will be deposited “very soon.” He urged state governments to complete Aadhaar seeding, e-KYC updates, and verification formalities to ensure timely payment.
“Many farmers in border regions are cultivating land without complete ownership documents. If states verify and submit their details to the Centre, they too can benefit from PM-Kisan,” the minister said during his recent visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
Eighteen days after his visit, the Centre disbursed over ₹171 crore to 8.5 lakh farmers in Jammu & Kashmir under the 21st installment.

States That Have Already Received the 21st Installment
The Union Government has already released the 21st installment in select states such as Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh, providing early financial assistance to farmers impacted by floods and landslides.
On October 7, 2025, Jammu and Kashmir farmers also received their payments.
Other states are expected to receive the funds by early November.
PM-Kisan Payment Cycle
Under the PM-Kisan Yojana, each beneficiary receives ₹6,000 annually, divided into three installments:
- April–July: First installment
- August–November: Second installment
- December–March: Third installment
The scheme, launched in February 2019, has become one of India’s largest DBT initiatives, ensuring financial stability and liquidity support to small and marginal farmers.
Impact of Model Code of Conduct
With the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in place due to Bihar elections, questions were raised regarding the legality of fund disbursement.
However, officials clarified that ongoing welfare schemes like PM-Kisan are exempt from MCC restrictions, as long as all technical and administrative protocols are fulfilled.
Who Will Not Receive the 21st Installment
The Agriculture Ministry has reiterated that farmers who fail to complete e-KYC, Aadhaar seeding, or bank account linkage will be excluded from this installment.
States have been directed to submit verified beneficiary lists promptly to avoid payment delays.

Advice for Farmers
Farmers are advised to:
- Verify their e-KYC and Aadhaar linkage status immediately.
- Visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or local agriculture office to complete pending formalities.
- Check their payment status and raise queries through the PM-Kisan official website under the Farmer’s Corner → Help Desk section.
Beneficiaries can also register new applications through CSCs, revenue officials, or state-designated nodal officers.
Previous Installment
On August 2, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 20th installment of the scheme from Varanasi, transferring ₹20,084 crore to the accounts of 9.7 crore farmers nationwide.
