New Partnership for Urban Development
NEW DELHI (ECONOMY INDIA): NBCC (India) Limited and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) have formalized a significant partnership with a ₹1,600 crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement marks a pivotal moment for both organizations, focusing on the development of a key MTNL land parcel located on Pankha Road, New Delhi.
Objective and Scope of the Project
Under this agreement, the goal is to transform the MTNL land into valuable residential and commercial spaces. The project will leverage the combined expertise and resources of both NBCC and MTNL.
NBCC, a Navratna enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, will act as the implementation agency. It will handle master planning, architectural design, and the creation of detailed project reports. Compliance with local urban planning regulations will also be ensured.
Phased Implementation
The development will be carried out in phases over three years, starting from the project initiation date. The focus will be on maximizing both residential and commercial benefits. MTNL will provide the land, which will be free from any encumbrances, and will assist with obtaining necessary regulatory approvals.
Roles and Responsibilities
NBCC will oversee project management, including tendering, construction, and post-construction activities. MTNL will support the project by providing the required land and regulatory assistance.
