Company Expands CNG Range with New Model Launch

NEW DELHI (ECONOMY INDIA): Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) plans to sell around 600,000 CNG vehicles in the current fiscal year (2024-25), a 25% increase from the previous fiscal year (2023-24).

Significant Growth Target

The target represents a substantial growth in Maruti Suzuki’s CNG vehicle sales. Last year, the company sold significantly fewer CNG units, but this year, they aim to capitalize on rising demand for eco-friendly vehicles.

New Model Introduction

On Wednesday, Maruti Suzuki expanded its CNG vehicle lineup by introducing its premium hatchback, the Swift, with S-CNG technology. A senior company official highlighted this move as part of their broader strategy to enhance their CNG offerings.

Official Statement

The company’s representative stated, “The launch of the Swift S-CNG is a key part of our commitment to expanding our CNG vehicle range and meeting the growing consumer demand for more fuel-efficient and eco-friendly options.”

Maruti Suzuki’s aggressive push into the CNG market reflects a growing trend in the automotive industry towards cleaner, more sustainable vehicle options.
