Raipur (Economy India): Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel on Monday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the proposed visit of President Droupadi Murmu to Bastar (Jagdalpur) on February 7, 2026, on the occasion of the divisional-level Bastar Pandum cultural event.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary issued detailed instructions to officials regarding security arrangements, medical preparedness, transportation, protocol, and overall logistics to ensure the smooth conduct of the President’s visit.

The Chief Secretary reviewed the on-ground arrangements through video conferencing with the Bastar Collector, seeking updates on venue readiness, crowd management, coordination among departments, and contingency planning. He also held discussions with the Raipur Collector to ensure administrative and logistical support from the state capital.
Senior officials from key departments attended the meeting, including Public Relations and Culture Department Secretary Rohit Yadav, General Administration Department Secretary Avinash Champawat, Home Department Secretary Neha Champawat, Health Department Secretary Amit Kataria, and Public Works Department Secretary Dr Kamalpreet Singh, along with other senior officers.
The state administration has intensified preparations to ensure that the President’s visit to Bastar is conducted with utmost security, efficiency, and dignity, reflecting the cultural and administrative importance of the event.
