Raipur (Economy India): The aerial extravaganza, marking 25 years of Chhattisgarh’s formation, will serve as a powerful symbol of the state’s journey of growth and confidence. The Suryakiran team will perform signature manoeuvres such as Bomb Burst, Heart-in-the-Sky, and Arrowhead Formation — filling the skies of Nava Raipur with breathtaking artistry and national pride.

Thousands of spectators, students, and families from across Raipur and adjoining districts are expected to witness the grand event, which will be one of the major highlights of the Silver Jubilee Mahotsav.

Inspiration for Youth and a Tribute to the Nation’s Heroes

The event will not only celebrate Chhattisgarh’s development but also inspire the youth by highlighting the virtues of discipline, teamwork, and technological excellence. The spectacular formations by Suryakiran pilots — flying at close proximity with only a few meters between wings — demonstrate the unparalleled precision and courage that define India’s air warriors.

About the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team

Formed in 1996, the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team represents the prowess, professionalism, and skill of the Indian Air Force. It remains Asia’s only nine-aircraft aerobatic display team, a testament to India’s advanced aviation capabilities and meticulous training standards.

Initially flying the HJT-16 Kiran Mk-II aircraft, the team transitioned in 2015 to the HAL Hawk Mk-132 Advanced Jet Trainer, marking a significant leap towards Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) through indigenous technology.

Global Recognition and Over 700 Performances

Over the past three decades, Suryakiran has conducted more than 700 performances across India and abroad, dazzling audiences in Sri Lanka, the UAE, Singapore, the UK, and Thailand. The team has participated in major global events, including the Singapore Air Show, Dubai Air Show, and Royal Thai Air Force’s 88th Anniversary, earning admiration for India’s aviation excellence.

In 2023, the Suryakiran team performed at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium during the Cricket World Cup, captivating millions with a fusion of sport, national pride, and aerial artistry.

Celebrating Chhattisgarh’s Silver Jubilee with the Spirit of the Skies

As Chhattisgarh celebrates 25 years since its formation, the Suryakiran Aerobatic Show will symbolize the state’s growing stature in India’s development story. With its blend of technological prowess, discipline, and patriotism, the performance will stand as a tribute to India’s armed forces and a celebration of the new, confident Chhattisgarh.

On November 5, when the red and white aircraft carve patterns across the skies of Nava Raipur, every heart will swell with pride — celebrating India’s courage, precision, and spirit of service.
