Chhattisgarh/Raipur (Economy India): Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced on Sunday that Chhattisgarh has received investment proposals exceeding Rs6 lakh crore, thanks to the proactive industrial policies and support from the double-engine government. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the World Youth Skill Festival 2025, held at Rungta University in Bhilai, the Chief Minister highlighted major initiatives to accelerate the state’s industrial and economic growth.
To ensure faster approvals and facilitate ease of doing business, the state has launched a Single Window Clearance System that streamlines all industrial permissions. “We are committed to creating a developed Chhattisgarh with inclusive participation from every section of society,” said CM Sai.

The Chief Minister stated that industries offering jobs to over 1,000 local youths will receive special subsidies under the new industrial policy. Additionally, special incentives are being provided to enterprises setting up operations in the tribal regions of Bastar and Surguja.
Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh is blessed with abundant mineral resources and skilled human capital. “This is the time to transform our state into a self-reliant economy,” he declared.
Highlighting the role of digital governance, Sai said, “Online services have brought transparency and significantly curbed corruption. Investors are now more confident in dealing with government systems.”
During the event, the Chief Minister presented certificates of appreciation to 25 outstanding participants, recognizing their achievements during the skill development program.

He further lauded the performance of Rungta University, which successfully trained 8,183 participants within a single week, a feat that has been recorded in the Golden Book of World Records. Sai called it a matter of great pride for the state.
The university has also launched joint degree programs in collaboration with Google, IBM, and international councils. Moreover, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with top global universities such as Harvard and Cambridge.

Sai reflected on the progress made in the last 25 years of Chhattisgarh’s statehood, crediting former CM Dr. Raman Singh for laying the foundation of premier higher education institutions.
“Today, the state boasts 15 medical colleges, as well as prestigious institutions like IIT, IIM, IIIT, CIPET, AIIMS, and a dedicated Law University,” the CM noted.
The New Raipur region has been developed into a pharma hub, housing the nation’s first AI-based data center park.
The Chief Minister also touched upon other critical policy initiatives, including the Youth Policy, IT Policy, Startup Policy, and the updated Industry Policy, all designed to make Chhattisgarh a future-ready industrial hub.
“Our goal is to generate over one crore employment opportunities in the next five years and transform Chhattisgarh into a leading industrial and technological powerhouse,” he added.

The event was also addressed by Member of Parliament Vijay Baghel, MLA Rikhesh Sen, and Rungta University Chancellor Santosh Rungta, who echoed support for the state’s dynamic development vision.
Concluding his speech, CM Sai urged the youth to embrace skill development, entrepreneurship, and innovation. “Together, we will build a Developed India through a Developed Chhattisgarh,” he affirmed.
