Meeting Focuses on State Development Priorities and Centre-State Cooperation

New Delhi | Economy India: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today in New Delhi to discuss key developmental priorities of the state and strengthen Centre-State coordination on infrastructure, employment, and welfare initiatives.

This marks a significant engagement between the newly formed BJP-led government in Chhattisgarh and the Centre, indicating increased momentum for fast-tracking centrally supported schemes and investment projects in the state.

High-Level Strategic Dialogue

Sources indicate that the meeting focused on:

  • Accelerating infrastructure and connectivity projects in tribal and rural regions
  • Enhancing implementation of central welfare schemes such as PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Ayushman Bharat
  • Support for industrial investment and mineral sector reforms in Chhattisgarh
  • Skill development and employment generation, especially in backward districts

Chief Minister Sai thanked the Prime Minister for continuous support and reiterated Chhattisgarh’s commitment to contributing to the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.

  • Green energy investment in solar-rich districts of the state

Political Significance

This high-profile meeting reflects the close alignment between the Centre and the BJP-ruled state government, offering scope for accelerated development and smoother execution of central schemes.
