In his radio programme, PM Modi said small online payments are helping build a big digital economy and many new fintech start-ups are coming up. He also urged all to try out an unique ‘Cashless Day Out’ experiment by going cashless and opting for digital transactions.

He also urged people having experience related to digital payments and the startup ecosystem to share it with others. “Your experiences can be a source of inspiration for others in the country,” he said.

“Now digital transactions worth Rs 20,000 crore are taking place in India daily. In March, UPI (Unified Payments Interface) transactions even reached Rs 10 lakh crore,” he said.

This is not only increasing facilities in the country but also encouraging an environment of honesty, PM Modi added.

Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya connecting PMs with the youth

The Prime Minister, talking about the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, said, “It’s a matter of pride that we are remembering the contribution of PMs. It’s connecting the youth of the country with them.”
He said people from across the country have written letters and messages to him about the said museum, which was inaugurated on April 14, the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar.

“There can be no better time than now, when we are celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence, to remember the contribution of Prime Ministers,” PM Modi said.

He also urged people to visit a local museum and share their experiences using the hashtag ‘MuseumMemories’.

75 ‘Amrit Sarovars’ to be built in every district in India

The Prime Minister on Sunday’s Mann Ki Baat said, “In the 75th year of India’s independence, when we are celebrating the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, water conservation is one of the resolves with which the country is moving forward. As many as 75 Amrit Sarovars will be built in every district of the country.” He added that it is the responsibility of the whole society to conserve water.

“It’s specified in our scriptures that water is the basic necessity of every creature. It’s an important natural resource. In Valmiki Ramayan, water preservation was emphasised. During Harappan civilisation, there was advanced engineering in place for saving water,” PM Modi said on Sunday.

Heaping praises on physically challenged people , PM Modi noted that just like in sports, ‘divyangjan’ are doing wonders in arts, academics and many other fields. “With the power of technology, they are achieving greater heights,” he said.

The Prime Minister also urged people to obey all Covid protocols to be safe during the festivals in May, while extending his wishes. (Source: Time Of India)
